Terms & Conditions
IMPORTANT DECLARATION: Nothing in this document, or any other documents, is intended to prejudice or affect the customer's statutory rights.
QUOTES & ESTIMATES: Cork Automania Ltd is NOT a quote based practice, but in some instances can give a vague estimate. All estimates are guidelines and cannot be guaranteed as prices and labour figures are subject to change & are subject to stripping.
PAYMENT TERMS: Payment for all work completed MUST BE MADE IN FULL prior to the Customer taking delivery of the vehicle. Cork Automania Ltd reserves the right to withhold delivery of the vehicle until full payment has been received. All parts fitted remain the property of Cork Automania Ltd until full payment has been received. We will only accept payment with cash or via laser/credit card.
Cork Automania Ltd DOES NOT OFFER payment plans or financing options under any circumstances.
DEPOSIT TERMS: Payment of a deposit by the Customer constitutes a commitment to present the vehicle at the agreed date and time for the scheduled work. Failure to deliver the vehicle as agreed, in time for the work to be completed within normal business hours on that date, will result in the deposit being forfeited. If the Customer wishes to reschedule for a different date, a new deposit may be required at the discretion of Cork Automania Ltd.
DEPOSIT – REFURBISHMENT / RENOVATION / RESTORATION WORK: Once a vehicle is booked in for refurbishment, renovation, or restoration work, a non-negotiable deposit of €5,000.00 is payable in advance and prior to commencement of any work.
This type of work is labour-intensive and involves significant time spent sourcing parts both locally and internationally. The deposit covers initial labour, administration, and sourcing efforts.
In the event that the total cost of work completed is less than the deposit paid, the difference will be refunded to the Customer upon final invoicing.
LABOUR AND MATERIALS: The estimate provided is based on the cost of labour and materials at the date it was issued. The customer agrees to pay for the time spent by Cork Automania Ltd, as well as for the cost of materials used. Charges will be itemized for each individual part, including an hourly labour rate and a markup on materials. If the work is not completed within 30 days of the estimate date, Cork Automania Ltd reserves the right to increase the estimated charges. Any such increase will be proportional to rises in direct or overhead costs, including (but not limited to) increases in wages or material costs.
SUPPLING PARTS: Cork Automania Ltd supply their own parts to ensure the highest level of service. By doingso, they can guarantee the quality, compatibility, and performance of the components used in repairs. This helps avoid delays or complications caused by incorrect or substandard parts. Additionally, we have established relationships with trusted suppliers. This not only allows us to secure better pricing but also provides access to specific or hard-to-find components, advantages that benefit both the us and the customer.
GUARANTEE OF REPAIRS: Cork Automania Ltd guarantees to exchange or repair any parts found to be defective due to faulty materials or workmanship during the course of the repair. This guarantee is provided in addition to, and does not affect, the customer’s statutory rights. The guarantee is valid for a period of twelve (12) months or 10 000 kilometers of vehicle use, whichever occurs first, from the date the repairs were completed.
Please note that no claims will be accepted under this guarantee if the vehicle has been used in a manner contrary to how the vehicle has been designed to be used for normal road usage.
